A 30m length of conducter has a resistance of 0.124ohms. Determine the resistance in ohms, of:

A: 60m of the same comductor

B: 30m of the same conductor with double the original csa

C: 30m of the same conductor with half the original csa

Hi

The general rule is - double the length = double the resistance, double the CSA = half the resistance.

With that in mind

A = 0.124 x 2 = 0.248
B = 0.124 / 2 = 0.062
C = 0.124 x 2 = 0.248.

Temperature can also affect the resitivity of a conductor.
