I can see it being IP44, the sockets definitley are, so on that basis yes. But i dislike the fact that its 3mcb's, and literally no room for an RCD by the looks of it. Is there room to change the MCB's to rcbos at all?

So you can plug it in............open up the socket flaps.............have access to 400v..............not very good IMO.....................this gives me an idea for the wifes xmas pressie lol.

Thing is she is like te kids she would play with the box..............................................................

The plug and socket are not rated for outdoor use i elieve it refers to the enclosure also the water can run down the flex into the top of the plug it would require plugs of an higher IP rating and withlocking rings to use outdoors, i think there is a hint of miss-selling here. The socket would also be required to be plugged into a rcd fed circuit if it was for outdoor use so the mcb's are not the issue here.

IP44 refers to splashing with water IMHO taking it out in the rain pushes this limit as it can be sat in a puddle and as already mentioned the splashing is sustained long term where as IP44 is only tested for 5mins to comply, i would personally not use anything outside less than IP55 which come with a sealed flex entry to the plugs /sockets

i could imagine though how the source of supply for this would not be on an RCD....
would`v been better to have given it RCBOs in that enclosure....

Rcd protection for mobile equipment used outdoors, depends on the rating.
If these sockets are 63A, then they don't require RCD protection.
If they are rated at 32A or less, then the RCD protection should be provided on the 3phase socket the lead plugs into.
Always assuming that the sockets are to be used to supply mobile equipment.
