Yes. I can agree with that. Seems that everyone wants paying up front when you had credit a month ago (bit like dealing with our friends at the bank I suppose!)

and then they deliver the wrong bits on the wrong day. I thought Nov/Dec was a nightmare - it seems to be a recurring nightmare! I have no idea whether I have roof kit for next week or not - still waiting to see if they have it in stock - from Monday!

Yep I've had the same problem before November I could order all the bits, it would come the day before install everything there two or even one supplier. Imagine one invoice, I'm having to think twice about segen I'm paying so much delivery charges because not everything is in stock and I don't trust them to hold it to deliver until the full order in fulfilled, then I'm chasing two days for an delivery which they make out was my fault !!!

In terms of busy just had two installs this year. Just don't know if it's me of the DECC, but if you guys are all busy it must be something I'm not doing !

To top it off I've got a REAL audit beginning of March! And I might have rubbed him up the wrong way today as I raised my concerns about all the 43p claiming bunch!Great his going to be really an#l now !!

Truth hurts... REAL are a bunch of monkeys..I known one company giving 100% sap calcs and REAL say nothing as they have no clout just a bunch of bullies and no trousers...

Give em Schtick!

we've just got the 2 installs to do.
I haven't gone out chasing new work, just taken whats come in. When it was apparent the lemmings had taken over the asylum again I decided I really couldn't be doing with all the chasing around trying to get stock, I've got other things I can be doing so no great pressure to be chasing solar work and giving myself all that extra hassle.

We've hit a problem now where we have a few surveys out which we expect to win and we don't think we'll have the time to carry them out. The biggest killer is a 50kWp system which we have been waiting for planning and G59 approval which now looks like falling by the wayside.

"The biggest killer is a 50kWp system"

Yet more wasted time!
- all I've dreamt about last night is getting the wrong inverters and not having any roof kit for next week! We work from home and even the printer's got wound up - it started to print, out of the blue at 3am this morning. I've been trying to teach the cat to be a bit more useful but surely she couldn't have done that .....

Had to say no to 3 jobs so far - not a happy bunny.

I thought we all swore we wouldn't end up in the same situation as November again :-(

if planning comes through in time, but not DNO permission could you do it as a 10kW 3 phase install under G83?

This is what we did on one project in November, and have just been back to add a further 20kWp to the system after getting the DNO permission through.

May be a bit late now though with inverter shortages etc

Not if it was on two separate meters, or you can run it through one then calculate proportionately.
That is my understanding of it anyway.

no, the first system would be at one rate regardless of any additions, the 2nd at whatever rate it is when you do that system, but you would have to include the capacity of the original system when determining which FIT band the 2nd system would be in.

ie if you install 10kW now, then 10kW later the 2nd 10kW would still be in the 10-50kW band.

I double checked this with Ofgem a few weeks back, so this is definitely right.

That's interesting, it's the exact opposite of what I'd understood. I was like Chris I thought the second installation brought it all into the new costs.
