Congratulations to the England ODI cricket side on making it look easy today. Not exactly the game I was hoping for with my fellow countrymen being 80 for eight wickets at one point....but hey, there's always a next time.

The fact that South African Cricket has had such a positive influence on our side should be of some comfort. I grew up in the late 80's early 90's when England were pretty much constantly losing, its nice the game has had some real investment in schools and at club level and it seems we are reaping the rewards. Its strange despite being born in Australia (lived in the UK all my life) and having the option to support what will be known as possibly the greatest ever Aussie side, I still stuck with England! Do you play Marvo?

Nope, I'm not a player of cricket but I enjoy spectating, I I'm lucky enough to have regular access to a box at Newlands courtesy of one of our suppliers. I lived in the UK for a few years in the 80's and I enjoyed playing some rugby league on a casual basis but never cricket.

Ive got a game tomorrow but the weather is looking iffy! My Saturday playing cricket is a yearly point of "discussion" with my wife now that we have kids but I'm not letting go!!!
