Discuss Good Morning Thread - Come say good morning, tell us what you've got on today. :) in the The Electrical Exchange area at ElectriciansForums.net

We have this thread on TilersForums.com and it's just been restarted because the old thread had 20,000 replies and 500,000 views. And there were 700 pages. Started to lag a bit on slow connections.

I think we had a bash of this before, but I can't find the thread, so thought I'd start another one off.

If you have time in the mornings, come post in the thread before you head off to work, let us know what you've got on and what the weather is like in your area etc. Anything at all is fine. :)

Posts and likes get counted towards your total stats in this thread.

So GOOOD MORNING PEOPLE - WEATHER IS NICE TODAY IN STOKE. I'M THANKFUL IT'S FRIDAY, HAD A RUBBISH WEEK. THANK GOD IT'S OVER.

Today has been quite nice so far. The dog and me went down to the beach. He had a good swim while I just chucked a few stones for him. On the way back I watched two RAF Hawks playing around at 9 -10,000ft. Got back, dried the dog off and now trying to decide what to do for the day.

Talking of RAF we obviously live under a military flight path as we see lots of Chinooks and other military aircraft, red arrows and Spitfires during the display season, a few days ago a Hercules passed over at what looked like 1000ft, but yesterday was a first with two Apache helicopters traveling West too East.

If you want to know where they are going to/coming from I can recommend an app called Flightradar24. Gives all the details such as aircraft type, speed, height, age etc. Yes, I'm sad!

I don't think you are sad, I look at that site quite a lot.

I assume its either Mildenhall or Duxford, I'm in Kent so both East of me.

I think I’ve mentioned this before when I was covering the temporary electrical supplies during an RAF air show at Leuchars in Fife….

I saw 13 Red Arrows in formation.

Normally they only fly 10.

Granted…. The 13 were parked on the runway, not flying… but they were in formation!

Todays fast food news.

My local maccys has gone down in my expectations.
First, the lights outside weren’t working…. So the sign read “McDo d’s”
My daughter ordered a milkshake….. and the server broke the machine. Strawberry flavouring all over the floor…
I ordered a regular full fat classic coke…. And they broke that as well… had to go with a diet version.
If I was on a diet…. I wouldn’t be going to a Macdonalds!

And finally…a McFlurry with a cardboard spoon!

The square ended plastic device isn’t a spoon… it’s part of the flurrying experience…. How dare they!

They’re supposed to stick the spoon in the ice cream, clip the square end into the machine, and it does something…. Blows air down through the spoon to aerate the ice cream and make a Flurry a flurry!

They can’t do that with a bit of cardboard!

Levelling the concrete under a new shower tray, that done, the shower tray only weight 85kg, put it in place and it needs to move 10mm towards the waste which is concreted in, trouble is its between three walls, ah well just have to chop a bit out of the wall.

Now now… what would a plumber do in this situation?

They’d get a chisel out and make the hole in the tray a bit bigger.

There was an RAF base a few miles from me that was host to BAE Hawks from the beginning of the '80s to the mid '90s.
During that period, the Red Arrows were frequently seen in the skies over here, practicing their routines. I presume they used it as a home from home.

Are you sitting comfortably on this sunny autumnal Sunday morning?

Then please read the following out loud;

“Alexa. Play Christmas music”

You can thank me later.

Talking of Xmas, is it time to put the sprouts on to cook yet?
