Green plastic cover 'box' inside meter box?!

Hi Guys, although I've been reading and coming to this site for a while now for excellent advice, this is my first thread so be gentle! I've been a self employed sparks for over 5 years now, and in total 9 years in the trade so why is I've just seen for the first time today a greenish see through protective box with 'Contents inside property of Electricity Board', or words to that effect? Anyone else come across these?? Just been nosey really!

Welcome, could it be the radio switch for eco7 perhaps, not much else going on in there other than head and metering.

Nope! This was a properly fitted plastic box that covers the incoming fuse, meter etc and has tamper proof metal covered screws on the front! Rang a mate who works for a DNO who told me they just 'rip em out' now

Same as you then, no idea. perhaps some kind of anti-tamper method. Got any pictures ?

No, but will do when I'm back there on Wed. The last thing we all want to do is having to start actually ringing the DNO just to pull the fuse!!

I have come across a few of them in the Manweb area. Tried to post a photo but it hung my system :32:
