Hi, Richard here.
Retired Electrical Engineer.
Worked in most of the 'flavours' of electrical work, domestic, industrial, commercial ,schools, hospitals and Local Authority Establishments (energy management systems)
Specialised in automation and controls for the last 10 years of my working life.
Retired some years ago due to major back surgery, which put paid to heavy work, much to my dismay as I was never happier than 'on the tools'.
Now following my hobbies of golf (hacker), flight simming and photography.
Wife and Border Collie at home to keep me in check.

Ooooo flight simming! I want a bash of that. Do you do that on your own setup, or go somewhere for it?

Welcome to the forum. :)

You'll fit in nicely.

Thank for that.

FSX Flight Sim, three monitors, yoke, pedals and of course flight stick.
Just bought the Airbus A400M, now that's a biggie, showed me that I need to get more proficient with the Garmin glass cockpit :(
Messing around with Face Track with and without IR.
I am seriously looking at P3D, dropping Christmas hints :D

think it's time to move this thread to the old farts' forum. i'm here also.

Perhaps the Mods can create an "Old Farts Forum" just to leave us Oldies to get on with it, what say Guys? any chance?
You don't have to have all your own teeth, just have all of your faculties and be reasonably PC

Honestly, when I started as a mate at the tender age of 15, I was involved in installing lead cables and rubber 'singles', multi-strand really ( as I recall the sizes were 7029, 3036 and another lighter cable but I can't remember the size), in wood trunking in King Edwards hospital, Ealing West London
I could hardly lift the coil of lead covered.
Well I was a skinny little git in those day's :(
Now that is old ;)

Are you old enough to join the fictitious "old F--ts club? sounds like it from your post, me I'm from Bath originally now I reside in retirement bliss in the rolling fields of Northampton.
