Grounding

I'm upgrading our electrical system by putting in a service meter/disconnect and main panel. Currently there's no ground from the main to the meter.
The meter is grounded but not sure how deep the rod is, so will be putting in two new rods. The feeders run through metal conduit through the floor joists and has two 90 degree bends, so pulling a copper ground through would be near impossible. I want to run the copper ground a different route. Can I connect it to the first ground rod, then to the second, then to the meter/disconnect?

To start with the power companies don’t supply the equipment ground, that’s where the ground rods come into play. # 6 wire is required for the ground so it needs to attach to the neutral bar and also runs to the first ground rod and then to the second ground rod which have to be a minimum of 6 feet apart. The first panel after the meter has to have the neutral bar and ground bar are required to be bonded. Any panel after that the grounds and neutrals are required to be separated. What size conduit do you have ? If it’s 2 inch which it probably is you will have to replace the feeders which will be 2 live, 1 neutral and 1 equipment ground. It will not pass an inspection otherwise.
