Probably all of the above, hence the 500mA fused leads, finger guards and shrouds and max 4mm preferred 2mm tips, which means you cannot get the bliddy probes in
yes like trying to get a Zs on a batten with a 5A connector block with lantern type prods...lol.......

I think it is generally accepted that a low resistance ohmmeter does not need to have GS38 test leads because it is testing at a low voltage on a dead circuit.
other testers are either testing at above 50V or on live equipment and therefore need the protection.

Hi guys - I'm stuck into June's test paper myself...and just got to question 22c!

I'd say the following testers 1) Earth Fault Loop Impedance Tester, RCD Tester, Phase Rotation Meter and Insulation Resistance Tester are the instruments requiring leads to GS38.

If you look at page 4 of GS38, under point 18, it states that 'for voltage detection or measurement, test leads protected by a fuse (or fuses) are recommended....' The question also carries four marks, so surely thats four testers to be stated?? I may be wrong!

Cheers

firstly mate if the course you are doing is the C&G 2391 then you need to put down gs38 and pick up GN3 as its that book that the course is based on and why an insulation resistance ohmmeter?...IR testing is dead testing mate.....but unless you post the question your stuck on ....no one can hely/advise you.......
