Discuss guidance note 3 6th edition in the Electrical Wiring, Theories and Regulations area at ElectriciansForums.net

I should just buy some yellow paint a few days before the assessor arrives! You'd save a fortune!

Just get a 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] hand copy of the 16[SUP]th[/SUP] third edition, so long as they don’t look to close you should be OK.

Anyone want to buy a very dog-eared copy of the 16[SUP]th[/SUP] and OSG? It’ll look like you’ve really taken time to study it.

Do you Mean you have just Paid ÂŁ125 for C&G 2382-12 if so then no You only have to pay and take the exam again when the 18th comes out.
The New version of GN3 will affect 2394-95 when it comes into force so if you take them before this date you will answer questions to old version and after the new one comes into force the questions will be based on that

So those who hold the 2391 or the new 2394-95 when the new versions out does everyone have to update ? I was looking to book my 2394-95 soon but seems like it be best to hold off for bit till the new versions out then do it what's your thoughts?? This trades becoming a joke I'm still learing the trade which I started in 2004 finish 2330 in 2007 only just passed 2381-12 wasn't lucky to get a apprentice been working with many different sparks some good some cow boys and still to this day I'm learing and I don't even class my self as fully qualified yet as I haven't had the chance to gain years on years experience due to health issues also not having a permanent position next to a proper professional I'm not a kid anymore I know when someone is looking to teach u and those who's just using u as cheap Labour. I'd recommend anyone looking to become a electrician to get an apprenticeship and not just go college I only started gaining hands on experience in the real world after I Finished my 2330 level 3.

No If you have 2391 or 2394-95 you wont have to update when new 18th Edition eventually comes out only your C+G 2382

If you do 94 or 95 now it will be based this version of the regs if you do it when new regs comes into force then you will do it to that version
