I'm trying to get in with various plumbers and kitchen fitters to get the odd extra job, I've just got in with a bloke who fits loft ladders, he seems to be feeding me a lift light once every 7 - 10 days which is good, ideally I'd like to be in a position where I can get fed work from others.

Whats a a lift light Tom?

PV is not something I have evee looked at, do you do the whole job including the panels?

Yea we do the lot and also air source heat pumps. Commercial PV seems to be where it's at the moment but domestic can still give a good return on investment but a lot of bad press about feed in tariffs seemed to kill it off a bit but the cost of the kit etc also come Down in comparison so it equals out. When the tariff was around 43p I stuck a 4kw system on my house and a 4kw system on my mums house both are almost dead south and the money I get back from both through the feed in tariff I don't touch and it goes straight towards my pension :)

I just had a 16 panel 4kw system fitted on my house, through freetricity but Get Green fitted it, not a chance I'm paying for one as I'll be 100 before I get my money back, I also fitted a solar iBoost at the same and have had free hot water since I fitted it, today it out 6kW in to my immersion heater so it saved on gas heating it.

Sorry, predictive text! I mean loft light. Nice little earners, I charge ÂŁ65 for a loft light, single batten fitting, switch and cert, takes me about 45 mins or so, one of them a week, soon starts to add up as quick little jobs.

like your website but do wonder if they can get "too busy" with too many pages, too many reviews

when I fitted mine and my mums when the tariff was high it cost me about 7-8 grand to fit both systems and over the 25years it will return about 68grand so take away my initial investment its worth about 60grand it was almost to good to be true at the time lol.

I think I could trim the review page back or chop it into multiple pages so if people want to continue they can.

i take on board what you are saying but like I say it seems to work well for me and generally the feedback I get is that they like the site and find it informative and so on. The other thing is I keep adding content so Google likes me which has worked well.

Sorry for the delay, been working all day.

no ive never done PPC, you are better off working up the natural listings.

This is terrible advice. PPC campaigns should be run alongside constantly working on your organic position. You state yourself, you've never done PPC, so how can you possibly give such a clinical opinion? It's also pretty pointless being positioned well or running effective PPC campaigns when the site you send them to is rubbish, which most are (and I don't mean designed by a 'creative' web designer to look good).

Google Adwords, Facebook Ads, directories, leafleting, email marketing, it all works when done properly and with the customer in mind not the business. Your customers want to know what you can do for them, they don't care about your busnesss.

Unfortunately, so many sparkys fail to grasp even basic marketing and it's the single most important thing in building your business, not just for bringing customers in but for positioning yourself properly and being able to charge top whack. Being a better sparky doesn't give you a better, more profitable business, being a better businessman does.

Excellent :-) The case and leads are in good condition. Two live leads, one with a test button. Looks like ÂŁ30 well spent.
