ah-ha lol exactly why i wanted to ask.. i think i'll get the vinyl one then, leather does sound a bit dangerous and may not last as long as a vinyl one

sorted! cheers guys

and im just having a quick look at the Vaughn's as well but its hard to choose cos hardly anyone (at least i know) has one to try out

Because im a total tart i have all of the estwings, i have the vynl handle long shank 26oz for first fix building, the 20oz leather handle one for second fix, for general rough work i have the weight forward hammer wich is awsome until you hit a finger.

For electrical work i have the insulated one

I even have the estwing lump hammer

God i need help

Insulated/ fiberglass :

Estwing Rip Claw Hammers

Weight forward:

Estwing Weight Forward Hammer

Lump:

Estwing Drilling Hammers

It is for this reason i have to surrender all cards and cash before a trip to the tool shop

have a eastwing 24oz framing hammer for the last 7years only problem with it everyone borrows it and no one brings it back

oh dear High Tower, i thought it was embarrising to be interested in gettin a hammer but to own like all of them haha. a lot of moneys worth as well. i got a 20oz vinyl claw but it doesnt feel the same as my bosses :( which was the whole point. it is good though. thinking about getting a 16oz leather just so ive got like a mix. nice to have a light hammer to carry. but i will stop at 2 hammers! lol

fatmax anti vibe. Well balanced and the shaped bit at the end of the handle gives a sense of security when swinging hard ( thats not a weekend occupation)

I think I must be really sad because after owning the sparky version of the Estwing I appreciated the aerodynamics of the shaft so much that when I spotted a similar design to a shaft of a lump hammer I had to buy it! Still, it has proved to the best club hammer ever.

I`ve got lots of hammers.......love em all, ive got sledge hammers, lump hammers, big hammers, little hammers (dont use these much), and all sizes in between...............if you cant fix it with a hammer then it cant be fixed, Unless of course you have an expanding foam gun
