Don't know what's its called but it has a small blade and a springloaded hook.

it fits over swa or flex and you pull it along and it slices it open.

Very handy if your you stripping a lot of swa.
The blade depth is adjustable.

As Paul_h quite rightly said, Bosch power change hole saws are awesome.
If you have a set of super rods then its worth having a second cable sock for T&E (10mm I think) then you can make a double ended sock with the adapter and pull new cables as you pull the old ones out with no fuss on rewires.
Arrow T72 staple gun for clipping T&E in attics and under floors.
Armeg skirting board chisel and a cheap 400mm bit you can lean on to drill through the floor board when doing sockets.
CK Bush wrench for conduit work.
Stabila do a mini spirit level that's ace for levelling backboxes on first fix.
Telescopic ladder! (Underrated I think)

Do you actually use this on a regular basis? I would be concerned about going through the cable.

I use my cable gun all the time yeah. Had it a year roughly and so far never shot a cable. If you ever get hands on one you'll find it's pretty hard to not align it correctly, I felt the same way before I bought it though! It's just a shame it won't clip into masonry!

I'm intrigued now. Being old school, I've gone from lead clips which fold over, to the new plastic clips. Never considered a staple gun for anything but stapling. May have to try this....

I got an older Fein off a oak floor chap for ÂŁ20, when its been used for 10 mins+ it starts getting a wee bit hot.....

other favourite tools....

cable cutters from screwfix for ÂŁ6.99, better than the ÂŁ17 Bahco version, and all my Makita 18v gear, especially the cordless grinder. Stanley Fat max 10m tape, ideal for measuring out long runs of downlights, 3.5mm tap, head torch, the 7 piece Wera screwdriver set, could go on for ages!

Oh and the kettle!

We've all forgotten our most useful tool we use every day:

The electricians coffee stirrer!!! no use for anything else

The electricians coffee stirrer!!! no use for anything else
Mine has a multitude of uses, tea/coffee stirrer, nail cleaner, scratcher of hard to reach places, plumber stabber (although afterwards it has to be sterilised) bradawl, small chisel and sometimes a screwdriver.
