JSP Hard hats Β£3.99
Seems to me, they're all uncomfortable, and sweaty if you're working hard, so I won't throw money at them.

The only way most PPE will develop is if managers and guvnors get a sustained taste of what's it like to graft hard having to wear it all day. Meeeow ! LOL
Yes they are mostly uncomfortable but I'd still rather pay 5 times that for something half decent than wear something which is distracting to the point of causing you to make mistakes,

I've never understood the attitude of only wearing rubbish gear that's issued to you, I don't mind contributing if it makes me safer or more comfortable!!

Very fair point mate, I'll watch this thread with interest, if a proven, decent product gets spoken about and reccommended I'd be happy to invest.

I've got a Petzl Vertx Vent, very comfortable climbing helmet. Fits ear defenders and face shield. Great helmet for aerial work.

The thing that moved me to Centurion helmets were their fleecy liners for winter work. main contractors we were working for at the time wouldn't allow hoodies, beanies etc to be worn under the hard hat.
