OK guys.

Came across this "beast" yesterday. A quick google search has revealed it dates back to the early 1980's,

The customer doesn't want it and the temperature on the display was changing between 75 degrees and 122 degrees as I was looking at it so I'm "guessing" it is displaying the temperature in the tank and the temperature at, or close to the boiler.

The customer doesn't want it and I'm vary of disconnecting it with no experience (if I'm not confident I won't touch it!)

Anyone got any experience with these?

Thanks.

i'd say it was redundant and was left there when the programmer was fitted.

No experience with that particular unit but I've seen/fettled with similar devices.
There should be a remote sensor for the room temp and one for the cylinder.
The unit basically operates in place of the room and cylinder stats.
I'd expect the displayed temperatures to be the room and cylinder temps, the relevant LEDs below the screen may illuminate to denote which is which (though it should be obvious) but I haven't a clue about faranheight temperatures so don't know if those values sound realistic or not.

Also have no experience with this particular controller . would be helpful to know if any probes were attached to the cylinder either held into probe pockets or strapped to the return pipe ?

Any motorised valves around ?
