once working in a pub in jarrow and did the classic feet through the ceiling. best thing about it was the guy running the refit that was a complete you know what, was directly under me in the bath plumbing in the shower :D:D:D:D:D:D:D i did not miss foot i was just being lazy as the stuff between the beams was solid. well maybe not that solid after all :D

Old houses, lift the floorboard to find 300yrs of spiders webs, then dig around trying to pick up the rod....I imagine all these huge spiders....ARGGGGHHHHH

Yea , twisted CPC's no circuit charts, newly decorated , stop watch, but I have to go with Acat , NOT GETTING PAID ,

Biggest pain in the arse going!

TBH my pet hate is two cpc's from t&e cables being twisted together at sockets etc and sleeved over with one piece of sleeving. That really annoys me as I do a lot of testing.:mad::mad:

went to a job the other week, went to test the circuit as it was a minor works and when i took the board cover off and cpc legs of the ring mains were twisted and sleeved together!!!

DIY t*****s who fit sockets and dont leave enough cable to pull it away from the wall without disconnecting it. And the same with light switches.
And all the others mentioned previously.
Oh yes, and the bits of connector block which are embalmed in cheap sticky insulation tape.

insulation tape. aka insulting tape. i have seen a fair bit of live ends just taped up with that stuff. one being in a disabled toilet just above the hand sink at face height live as you like and not even covered properley. fully qualified spark left it like that

another niggle not a big one but just as annoying. You add a circuit to a consumer unit or dis board, go to update the circuit chart and some clever dick has written across the little white space in nice big letters "SPARE"
