Have a washer and dryer that are plugged into separate sockets and both have 13A fusesl The electrical wiring passes through the washing machine socket and then on up to the the dryer socket above.
There was no power to the dryer so I changed the fuse in the isolator and now it works fine.

But for some reason, the lower washing machine socket now has no power. I tried replacing the fuse in the isolator switch first, then the fuse in the washing machine plug. No joy.

So what else do I need to test and in which order?

Thanksssss

Assuming you are a novice to electrics? As in no access to electrical equipment.

Plug something in to the sockets that you know works else where, then you can confirm whether the socket has power going to it or not. Then you know if the problem is from the plug to the washing machine or prior to the plug.

If the socket is ok then will likely be onwards a problem with the plug(fuse) or something in the washing machine.

Have they worked before? New installation supplying them?
