hi guys, I have an interview with TPS.360 tomorrow. Does anyone have any experience with this firm? What can I expect from the interview, i.e. what might I be asked?

Thanks.

no takers here then. Where are all the regulars? Come on guys, i need a bit of support here. What might I be asked? what should I ask? I know nothing about what these guys do, or what they expect ME to do!

I know there is a wealth of experience out there, with you all and if ever I needed it, it's now, so step up you all and stick your two pennth worth in!

i have checked the website, but not much there to be honest, hence the post. I feel like I want to interview THEM about who they are, what they do, and what they want/ expect ME to do!

I have never been for an electrical job interview and was hoping there were some people on here that have, and what sort of things might get asked.

Guess I'm heading for a disappointment.

Must be a timed served electrical apprentice, with 17th edition regulations. Previous industrial experience is essential. Must hold a full clean driver's licence. An IPAF licence is desirable. Duties will involve industrial electrical installations, reporting to the electrical director and related tasks as required. Immediate start. Will be based in Swansea and Caerphilly. Temporary leading to permanent.Covering an area between Cardiff and Swansea. Applicants can phone or email

This is all I KNOW!

I'm Chilled. Thanks. Can't get stressed about what I don't know about. Got my suit ready, and will just have to wing it I guess. At the end of the day if I haven't got the training or experience they want, then I don't want the job. No point in BS then put in front of something I can't fix is there?

That's the right attitude, They may not ask technical questions, and may only need to know about your background and quals.
If you have all the paperwork they ask for it may just come down to whether they like the look of you or not.

As you say, if you don't know the answers - you don't.

Good luck

It's a pretty vague job description so I would concentrate on your interview technique, remind yourself of the simple things people often forget

Brush your teeth
look smart
look people in the eye but don't stare
sit up straight
smile and shake hands with people
answer every question
don't 'ummm' and 'errrr'
if there's a woman at the interview don't sub-consiously exclude her
speak clearly

I would google interview techniques, I've given you reasons I've disliked applicants at interviews but I haven't actually been interviewed for decades so I'm no expert.

well what would be wrong with that voltz?....askin em questions about who/what they are and their ideas etc.....interviews are a 2 way thing you know...

just looked on their website voltz....looks like they either were lined up..or were given some award for summat......now theres something for you to read up on and use in the interview.....together with the usual stuff such as how long they have been trading for and how many employees they have.....both things they are going to be proud of.....so exploit it.....
