Hello everyone. I'm new here, so please be gentle! I've been a Firefighter for quite a few years now, but have a C&G 236 Part 1 from maaany years ago (didn't finish the Part2, frustratingly), and have been doing jobs for friends/family etc since I stopped working for the sparky company. I'm looking to get onto a competent person scheme, so am currently looking at the requirements to register....anyone any ideas by any chance? Anyway, hope to become part of the forum on a regular basis! Cheers :)

Hi welcome marky have a look at the elecsa web site that should help you. I think most of the sparkys on the forum are with them. Get your tin hat on as there are a lot losing heart with them all at present.

Thanks for the welcome. I've been in touch with Elecsa & they've confirmed what I needed to know, and fairly promptly too! I wonder why guys are losing heart with them? I need to read more on here I reckon! :)

it's just that elecsa and the other scams should be in a monty python sketch as in " what have the romans ever done for us?"

Do tell me more.....scam?? Do they not deliver what they promise ( notifications etc) on their website or something? What issues have you had with them, as I want to make the right choice from the off (if that's possible!)
