Hello new forum software!

Feel free to post to this forum etc. Loads need doing, including porting the likes over etc. But it's usable. Anything you post on here will be kept and stay online when we switch back to the correct domain name. We're just using this domain name for the next few hours while we fix the issues with NGINX. Some software we use on the server.

Things that need doing include styling the usernames and that kinda jazz. And perhaps double checking and fixing user permissions for access-only areas. Which wont take too long. I just want to get this switched to the new domain first so am working through the issue related to that.

Tapatalk wont work yet either. And other add-ons/customisations we had on the old forum need adding again to this. Which wont take long once we're on the actual domain.

It’s all looking good but just a quicky! It appears I’ve 36 Trophy Points. Where did they come from? How do I get more of them? How many do I need to win the actual trophy? Or is it a bit like the old Bullseye game show prizes, in which case I will have the luggage set.:D
Trophies explained: http://www.electriciansforums.co.uk/help/

I'll add more levels, there all quite low and we've all probably won them all already ha

Maybe one day I'll get you a suitcase from primani. Seen one 12 quid!

Think I'm ready to take feedback and bug reports lol

I'll collate it over the next couple of days and see what needs doing. I'm off tomorrow though.

The 'New Posts' feed is showing me posts out of chronological order.

I'm also seeing a display issue on some thread pages where the menu and sub menus are merged and the background of the logo is white.

Great change to XF, though it's a shame VB is dying a death.

The new posts feed shows you posts in order they were last replied to FOR YOU only. So if you've viewed one and not replied, it won't be there. If you've replied it won't show either. That's literally just the new stuff that has been replied. And it's in the order of the new posts, hence its name.

If you go landscape on your phone (that's what I'm guessing you haven't tried) it'll show you the last post time and who by.

I'd have switched to VB anyway personally. It's British. More secure.

And can you screen print me the glitch and let me know what browser and device you're on etc matey.

Thanks for the feedback.

Is there a PM facility ? I have had a quick look but can't see one.
Yes mate, again, in the contact card. Click on a name and click start conversation. You can also visit a users profile and post to their profile (think a bit like facebook). And then also the @ruston tagging feature.

will we be able to have the option of changing the skin?
Perhaps not. Once all forums are ported over (we have one more to do) I've got a couple of custom styles I'm testing out. Something akin to www.avforums.com that's heavily customised. So changing the colours and changing square buttons to round ones won't really interest the masses it'll be more about making it clutter free and content rich and pulling off awesome deals.
