So this is it drawn out ..... the zig zag lines are 25mm twin earth cables[ElectriciansForums.net] Help adding more wall sockets in bedroom

so you basically have two 25mm twin earths coming from the wall going into the live, neutral and earths of the socket, then the third one from the wall goes to the earth of the socket, then the live and neutral is taped up

the trunking 25mm twin earth cable only comes into the socket to be earthed, the live and neutral of that socket are then taped (along with the others)

I am pretty sure my assumption in #11 is correct. I wouldn't recommend further alterations until the existing set-up is checked out.

if i added a spur from what you see, would it be safe?
I can only recommend you get it checked out by an electrician as it is not possible to make assumptions from the existing set-up.

i feel like two of the 25mm twin earths are meaningless, (one from the trunking and one from the wall) as they are both only earthing something else if ya see?

the live and neutrals of both are not in use

They are in use and you not understanding this indicates that you should seek professional advice.

Wires from those connectors are connected to the socket.

but say for example the trunking 25mm twin earth ... only the earth is plugged into the socket and the neutral and live are just taped ?

Yes but the taped connector is terminated at the socket by a wire, it is live.

think i'll just get an electrician mate , any idea how much you think it'd be for someone to come and do this ? seeing as i have all the parts already is it fairly cheap or? like ballpark figure?

Shouldn't cost much depending on a few things that need checking before work starts. You should really be leaving this for now and not encouraging anyone to come to your home to do work though. This is not an essential task so the journey would not be essential.

Depending on what you will be using the sockets for an extension lead may suffice for now.

I assume said contractor is part of a Part P scheme (NICEIC, Napit, few others..) in which case complain to them. They'll investigate (in theory)...
