Hi there.
New to the forum, so apologies if I'm in the wrong place.
.
I have a wire in the loft, which has been left live.
It's spurred off a socket, which I don't have access to, so I can't remove the whole wire.

Google searches seem to reveal "just tape it up" style answers... But as Im about to cover it with insulation, and like to sleep at night, knowing I've done as good of a DIY job as possible...
What is the correct way to terminate the live end, to regs (or as near as poss), please?

Cheers!
Chris

Is it actually LIVE ?

If you have a bare exposed cable which is LIVE , then you will need insulated tools to even think about cutting and terminating it

Please get a Sparks round
