Normally I would have taken a pic, but as the switch is different I thought it would be no use.

He says he has a twin and a 3 core or have I made a mistake? My mistake missread the 2 x twins dohhhhhhSounds like his isn't three plated Pete.
He has two twins and a triple the way these new kids wire stuff Pete.He says he has a twin and a 3 core or have I made a mistake?
Yes this is my guess.U need to link the neutrals together from the two twin and earth cables.
And take the feed and put it into L1, along with the black of the 3 core. And take the brown that goes to the light fitting and put it into L2 along with the grey of the 3 core. As long as at both your switches the common is brown from 3 core this should work for you.
u only need the one cable in each common, the other two need te be in either L1 or L2. L1 being permanent live. L2 being switch live to the light fitting1st is the new light switch and the 2nd is the other switch, which I have not made any adjustments to

Beat me to itIn your first picture you only need the brown or the three core, ignoring earths in the common. The other two go in L1 and L2, one in each it doesn't matter which way round.
