I have a practical exam on Thursday and have just found out I have to perform a test that I haven't yet covered(my own bloody fault)
So at this late hour I am getting a bit concerned.
I have a length of SWA 2.5mm 3 core wired into a CU at one end and an isolator at the other.
Could someone please explain simply to me how to perform 1,Continuity 2,Ins Resistance and 3,Polarity on the SWA
I have some idea but with a million thigs running through my head I need some help.

Thanks in advance

Gerry

Isolate cu

1)remove conductors from cu terminals
2) connect line to cpc of swa & test continuity at the load side of isolator between line & cpc, turn isolator on/off while testing prooves line is switched (R1+R2 done & polarity)
3) remove link between line & cpc
4) set meter to 500v test IR between line & cpc
5) test IR between neutral & cpc
6) test IR between neutral & cpc

Thanks very much,very helpful

I see that steps 5 and 6 are the same, should step 5 be test IR between line and neutral.

Either way thanks again!
