A very versatile thing is an RCD .... can also be used as a paperweight to stop your papers blowing off your desk by the wind whistling through the broken window.

It's better than having her sitting in the Lounge ( posh folk ) / Living Room ( normal folk ) hogging the telly all day though.

And for us working folk it is the front room and we sometimes switch the big light on too....
