Help.. potterton heating control

Hi all

went to swap a faulty potterton E range heating system control and couldn’t for the life of me get the old one off.
no grub screw , not hidden catch or latch.
i tried prying the front off but it started to pull the screws out the wall.

any ideas

or do I simply force it off ...?

There is a slot in the bottom about an inch in from the right, you push a screwdriver up in it to release.
