Have you tried the obvious engineer codes. As in , 0123, 1234, 9999, 7890. Didn't boom boom give you the codes?

HI onions1066, boom boom gave me a six figured code, which should be the engineers/installers code but when I :-

1, Enter the code

2 Press the Enter button

nothing happens, I really need to get into the panel to change the Telephone numbers as the number programmed goes direct to EEC Control Room, also I need to set up a users code.

Final Update:party:

Just had a phone call from someone who is into these panels, who has given me the codes and helped me set everything up,

A BIG thank you for all of your advice and help you have given me, it was really appreciated.

When you end up being an old F..t like me it is nice to know you guys are out there to help.

Thanks again:seeya:

Well done mate been following the post glad you got there in the end and good on everyone who assisted especially the nice fellow that rang you to help Happy Days should help you feel a little safe and act as a deterrent to the scroats

Oh yes, like a ton weight off my shoulders, just need to get 1 more PIR then everything is covered

We're do you have your PIR's positioned?

No need to go over board.. My 3 bed has a door contact on the front door and two PIR's. One at the top of the stairs and the other by the back door (in the dining room looking in to the kitchen).

That way the entire downstairs and upstairs is covered.

A happy New Year to all members.
Again the old white haired 73 year old o.a.p is looking for some assistance, maybe someone is in the know.

I installed the system as talked about in these posts, I occasionally get faults up from a P.I.R.

I was wondering if there is an alarm engineer around the Colchester/Harwich areas, I mounted the bell box on the end wall of the house but not really high enough, I am now 73 and I no longer have a head for heights, I would like to try to get hold of an engineer who could check out the system for me and just raise the Bell Box, I had a price from the firm who used to install these systems but no way could I pay their prices from my pension, see below,

COPY OF EMAIL

I am emailing you in regards to the costs involved for one of our engineers to call out and check the alarm system

There are two options available;
1) Call Out Fee. This covers you for the engineer calling out for up to one hour and doing a full check on the system & battery change if required. This does not include any replacement parts. The cost is ÂŁ200 inc VAT. If the visit goes over 1hr then the hourly rate is ÂŁ50.00.
2) Service Agreement-These are available for 1,2 or 3 years. They cover you for 1 remote diagnostic check per year (this is where we can dial into the alarm system from the Head Office and do a check for faults and low batteries) and it also includes up to 4 visits per year from an engineer with all replacement parts and labour costs covered.
1 Year is ÂŁ500, 2 Years is ÂŁ900 and 3 years is ÂŁ1350.00

I hope this information helps and if you would like to make arrangements for an engineer to call please call on the number below and ask for the service Department.
