hi all, just practising some testing in my garage, getting the hang of it all, ive wired up 6 lights with switches, and when im doing the insulation resistance test im getting 1000Mohms on my meter, would i be right in thinking that i write this down on the certificate as >999 ?? help me please :)

i was just curious as a lot of people i know put >299 on theres, presuming thats what there meters go up to!! ive got a megger mit320!! so if i got a reading of say 657 for example, would i put >599?

hi mate as stated above whatever it says on your meter thats what you would put whether it's 692,>299 or >1000.So long as its not below 1M ohm (LV) no need to worry;)

thanks for your help guys, just getting a little nervous as ive got my napit visit tuesday !!!

ok, so im doing an insulation test, and it gets to about 650 then my tester keeps beeping and the reading keeps going up and up and up, any ideas why this keeps beeping??
