unfortunately the industry is set up for apprenticeships and you'll find it difficult to get the relevent experience at your age. it is very difficult to get an apprenticeship for the 18 year olds also. do you know any self employed sparks that you could work with? alternatively if you have previous practical experience and are confident of your hands on abilities you could set up on your own as a domestic installer. possibly when the economy picks up again you'll be able to look at finding work placements to complete NVQ3 or whatever it is then

Does anybody answer these threads seems 17peeps have looked at the thread but nobody has answered?

Doesn't that tell you something?

Maybe they don't know the answer and are savvy enough to know that if you don't have anything useful to say it's often better to say nothing at all.

The fact that you have started 3 threads all with the same title may be confusing &a bit off-putting to some of us too !!

Be patient & with luck someone will be able to answer you eventually.

We get 3 or 4 people a day on here asking for JOBs / Work experience

I do know one thing...............

Spamming the forum with 3 copies of the same post WILL NOT HELP YOU!..... Just stick to this one as you've already two answers.

At forty five its not going to be easy. Most will expect your age and experiance to go hand in hand, almost has a package.
The problem you have is that there are going to be young lads out there with the same level of experiance as yourself, but with youth on there side.
Unfortunately that could well make them seem the better long term investment.
Not what you want to hear, but its as honest a reply that I can give you.
For what its worth I'm 58 and work is good, but I can tackle most things with confidence after 40 years in the trade, thats not down to my youth thats for sure.
Best wishes and good luck to you.
