Good morning all, can someone advise how to wire a simple pendant light with the wiring I have as shown in the picture attached. I believe the existing wiring is from around 1999.

Stupidly i took the old light down without noting exactly where each wire was connected.

That’s a lot of wires....

basically, all the reds together are permanent live. This does not get connected to your new fitting.

The black with red tape is switched live. Goes to L of your fitting.

the remaining blacks are neutrals, goes to N

green and yellow are your earth and must be connected to the new fitting if it’s metallic.

If you have grouped up the cables as they were originally then I would go with: The blue wire of the pendent wires to the black wires on the far left. The brown wire on the pendent wires to the far right single black wire. All the red cables will wire to the centre terminal on the pendent and the earths wire to the earth terminal.
