thanks to all you lads for your input. finally found the fault. inside the boiler housing are a couple of plug/sockets, similar to those on cars, click in with a catch. one of these was loose, not plugged in securely. don't deal with eaga heat. was on phone to automated " your call will be answered as soon as an advisor is available --- 9.30pm solid to 1.00 am. and that's the emergency breakdown number!!!!

No - that's the emergency tech is out on the p**s number......

Christmas callout is obviously working correctly - you would have just got a ringing tone otherwise, I expect.....

Hello all.
I've got the same fault combination (red, flash green, flash green) - this comes on about an hour after the timer shuts the boiler down - however pressing reset WILL power the boiler up.

Sometimes, another combination appears (red flashing, off, green on) - which the legend says is 'Overheat' - again, pressing reset will start everything up.

My father, who sadly passed away recently, thinks that the boiler has been incorrectly wired up.

What do you think?

Might need the pump wired so it overuns (keeps running) after the boiler has shut off. Check in the boler is there is a connection for the pump to be wired too. If the pump is wired into the switch line when the boiler switches of so does the pump. The water doesnt move from the boiler but because the boiler is still hot it boils the water thats in it.
