hey guys just been sent a picture of a Board a customer needs changing tomorrow. I believe the grey one is a old 4 way board. But unsure what the one on the right is? Any ideas not ever come across one before.

The cream coloured box is a so-called “biscuit tin” which has the main DNO fuse inside. These type don’t usually have asbestos, but you never know. The common problem is historic bitumen/compound leak which, when hardened, may make removing the fuse very difficult or impossible.

It looks like it connects to the isolator via that black tube on the left, but I’m not certain.

Also, the red/black cables look like old rubber type sheathing. They’d need upgrading if so, on the metering side.

Could be supply somehow in to the beige box, tails to meter then from meter via the beige box through coupler to feed the grey box, but I am assuming so you need to go to site to do a visual check.
This is what I suspect it’s just tails are returning from meter through beige box into grey. The supply earth has me puzzled

Careful... there’s a high chance the small MEM board on the right has asbestos flash guards

Odd as why my post was quoted and I never mentioned asbestos, its low level stuff I tried it on the ex wife and she's still around her husband keeps on about it to me........
