For my logbook I need a short description on how to rectify these faults using tool/instruments.

I know what to do with these faults but its writing it out im struggling with, Im under pressure to get it done so I can get my final test done.

Short Circuit
Open Circuit
Overload

Thanks for any help if anyone can

Hi and welcome.

Im not entirely sure you will get a 'full blown' answer to these questions as it will take some serious typing.

If you know how to do these in the real world, then just write it down and then edit it to make sense to the reader.

But, you never know.

Maybe one of the lads here will have a kind heart and go for it:)

Basically mate, Ive not done ALOT of testing but heres what I thought.

Short circuit, for example a lighting circuit, disconnect wires from switches one by one while testing in between each cable with a megger

overload, find out what is causing the overload by investigating the size/rating of the circuit and check what is on the circuit, removing what is causing the overload

open circuit, again test between seperate parts of circuit until the break is found?
