Hi,

I completed a few courses in college (2011) because I wanted to make a career as an Electrician, but I'm finding it difficult to get onsite experience.

I tried when I first completed the courses and I found an electrician to work with (who I worked with for a few days), but he had to leave the country due to family issues. Since then I have tried on several occasions, but no one is getting back to me.

My qualifications:
2330 (Level 2) - Credits and Distinctions
BS7671 (Level 3 - Red Book)
2392 Inspection and Testing (Level 2)
2377 PAT Testing (Level 3)

I done these courses while I was in full time employment, so I am very serious about this.

Can anyone please guide me in the right direction?

Welcome to the forum mate and best of luck finding some help. There are loads of people in your situation at the moment, just read some of the posts. Sorry I'm not much help but all I can say is just keep trying mate..

Just out of curiosity, how come you didn't take the 2330 Level 3 after the Level 2? It's a natural progression, and makes you more employable. And im not sure that you can do that course on its own anymore now?

The problem is, you've got half the quals...so nobody is going to take you on as a fully blown spark, you're going to have to find someone who's willing to put you back into the college system...unless you get work as a mate, but i don't see why you should...you're half way there. Enquire about the 2330L3 See if it's still a viable option on it's own without having to do an NVQL3. AND also get the 2395.

Best of luck.
