Well lads the laptop is dying,so today I spotted a nice one in pc world, went in to buy it then found out that they don't have word or office on and thats another £90 because they're all windows 8 android based. Now that aint happening,no way I'm paying another 90 quid on top,no the question is does anyone know a way around this problem,a free app or something.Basically all I want is something like ms word, just to do simple stuff, nothing fancy. If I can't get something sorted then I'm screwed.Help

how bad is the lappy? just had mine fixed for £60. total rebuild with windoze7.

Dont get an imitation battery. Get an official one. Just bought a different make for mine. Worked for one day...then screwed my whole lappy up

? that seems a little strange.

a lot of older laptop batteries are just loads of cells soldered together and no pcb etc.

as long as you buy from a reputable company it should be ok (quite often its better to buy a new laptop if you can afford it)

£400 will get you a very good laptop that will last years, dont spend too much more because when the batteries go a genuine from some brands can be £60-100
