Dont get an imitation battery. Get an official one. Just bought a different make for mine. Worked for one day...then screwed my whole lappy up

The same applies to some inkjet cartridges too - as I found out a couple of weeks ago. :censored:

? that seems a little strange.

a lot of older laptop batteries are just loads of cells soldered together and no pcb etc.

as long as you buy from a reputable company it should be ok (quite often its better to buy a new laptop if you can afford it)

ÂŁ400 will get you a very good laptop that will last years, dont spend too much more because when the batteries go a genuine from some brands can be ÂŁ60-100

Saving up for the new lappy rather than ÂŁ100 on battery. Just have to use charger ALL the time. And hibernate not shut down. Lasted 4 years :)

go for a hp individual ink printer or epson individual ink

i pay ÂŁ5 odd a pop for genuine hp

the individual ones are a doddle to refill yourself. Cost about a quid to refill all 4

Well I bought a new laptop yesterday, and guess what? today it's going back! Absolute load of garbage that windows 8,I can't even find the shutdown,it's slower than my old one and does what it wants,I was told to get it wiped and windows 7 reinstalled but that means even more cash outlay,so if I disappear for a while it means I'm sorting a computer.

windows 8 takes some getting used to. down bottom left is a square with a cross in it, looks like a window. right click on that and you get options mene. shut down is there

install classic shell or start menu for windows 8

it makes it look like 7.

have a look at dabs.com and scan.co.uk for a windows 7 laptop

nost come with 8 now.

9 is supposed to be announced very soon
