Hi, Just a quick introduction.I do up houses and often come across problems so i thought this seemed quite a good place to learn a bit more.I know the basics after a quick course but wouldn't say i was qualified!!

Re read your opening post. What do you mean by a short course? Do you do electrical work for a living? It's not a problem to put the thread back to the main forums if you are a practicing electrician.

No, its fine in DIY, just thought the nature of the problem might be more suited to the main threads. I did one of the fast track courses about 6 yrs ago but nothing since (i don't really think those courses make someone 'qualified' even though i got the bits of paper!)
