Hi mac

Hi Mac
just wanted some advice
I am a graphics designer want to change career
Im 43 yrs old I want to becoming an electrician
i know its best to start at the beginning and do a 2330 level2
then go on from there .
I am a bit confused its take 3 years to get to level 3 2330 then do all the other levels :
2356, 2382,2391,2356.
that will take me roughly 4 years to complete at college.
Is there any other way i can complete this like say a year .
My other problem is money as it is very tight a the moment and i am on a 3 day a week from 5 day a week job
any advice would be appreciated
thanks

Hi mate,i'm 41 and trying to get back into the trade after a 20 year absence.Depends what route you want to take, domestic, industrial or commercial. Some of these fast track courses only qualify you to do domestic work.Take a look at this link, they have just opened up about 10 new branches in the UK.Prices are quite reasonable and a lot cheaper than the fast track route. You also need to try gain some onsite experience if you can.But being a spark, you will always be learning new things everyday.
