I have decided to bite the bullet and upgrade a few of my tools to Hilti. I have registered my company on their website so I can get prices but am a bit confused.

Firstly I was looking at the TE 7-A 36V Cordless drill which comes in at ÂŁ672.48 plus VAT with 2 x 3.9ah Lithium batteries.

But then on the same page they are offering the same package but with an additional dust removal unit for ÂŁ630 plus VAT?????

Am I reading this completly wrong or do they usually offer more gear for less money??

Also is there much difference between the TE6 and TE7 models in terms of power. I will be mainly using with 16-25mm bits.

Cheers

Everything on the website is plus Vat. They sometimes do put down cheaper offers on the same page as the full list price versions, just read the full product spec sometimes it can be cheaper because you only get one battery or they are Ni-Cd etc just read it very carefully!. The 7 is more powerful plus you can rotary stop it for chiseling, it has a larger amp hr rating on the batteries too. The new version of the 6 is coming out in Jan so would be worth waiting if you decide on that one, the impact force is going up from 1.5J to 2J and the batteries are going to be higher capacity I think. Plus it's going to have a anti vibration floating handle. I like my 6 and it seems to do anything up to 20mm with ease with the occasional 25mm thrown in, not that often mind you. Hope that helps

Well, I have bit the bullet. Bosch 36V just sold on ebay. My Lithium 18 V Combi & Impact Driver are currently on there now. Bosch 3KG 110v SDS getting listed in the morning. Have emailed Hilti to see if they can do anything on price for:
TE 7-A with 2 x 3.9ah Batteries (Not needing dust removal if it saves anything), SF-22A Driver with 2 x 2.6ah Batteries & Finally a TE6-S Corded 100v SDS drill.

Hopefully they can also get it to me before Christmas although I don't know why I want it early as I am not working until Jan 3rd.

Now just contemplating putting my Bosch 18v Lithium Circular saw & Bosch 18v Lithium Angle Grinder on ebay as well for the upgrade!!!!!!

Great buys there m8 you won't regret it at all. The only thing I would mention is that the corded TE-6S doesn't have a chiseling function, I almost went for it because it's so light but went for the TE-7C as it's got one. Hope it all comes before Christmas
