Hive heating question

Im not familiar with Hive heating systems; although I am aware that somewhere along the line (probably at the start, and not the control box thing that plugs into socket!) it needs a mains supply . Anyone know if the Hive circuit is switched off, would this cause the boiler the revert to its manual settings (obviously the circuit supplying the boiler is not supplying the Hive).

no ,you probably made a mistake .you need to put your hands up for that .

How about, the customer installed the Hive incorrectly and is now putting the blame on the OP?
How about the batteries have died on the room stat?
How about not being so bloody negative all the time?

Easiest way to check it is by pressing the central heating button on the hive receiver.
If this brings the boiler on then the customer needs to phone the geek squad and they will talk him through it.
Could be customers account, broadband speed etc.

This is assuming that there is power to the hive receiver.

probably a y-plan with no perm live at the wiring centre so bodged it off the immersion.

That shouldn’t make a difference as the hive is designed to fit onto the standard programmer backplate as a direct swap.

To update, got a late response from customer this morning saying its sorted itself out ?!! Maybe (probably) they did not have the router switched on or their phone was playing up/bad internet connection ect. Anyhow will know if this happens agin
