Dont quite know what you angle is here TBH, the guy asked for advice so I'm doing my best to help him with what I've gleaned so far.

Also, that was the advice YOU gave me when I first thought about doing the HNC a while back!

If your company Is offering to pay, to further your education then you should take it. I ended up getting my degree in electrical Engeering, though I'm yet to use it I think it was worth the time, effort and money. As long as you understand the basic's of maths well, you can build on it very easy.First post!
