HNC electrical

Hi can anyone tell me a good distance learning training centre where I can learn the HNC in electrical engineering??

how are you finding the course, I heard the maths is quite involved, I did very well in the city and guilds 2360 part 1 & 2 I got distinctions..

I believe they are part of Logis-Tech and operate a different system of HNC due to being based in Scotland.

Yes, Teesside do distance learning, that is what I am doing now.

I too achieved distinctions in the 2360 but an HNC is academically in a different world to what we did in the standard electricians courses.

If you don't have A-level maths, you will also have to do the maths bridging course before they allow you to start. Expect it to cost around £2000.

someone told me that the SQA is better than the edxel version of the qualififcation, not sure how true this is?

All of it, maths course + HNC = £2000 (at the moment).

not too sad TBH when you consider a 2391-10 costs £650> for 5 days
