Replacing my hob and found this. Hob (6.4kW) installed on a dedicated 32A circuit, wired with 6mm TE. Five terminals on the hob, two lives and two neutrals have each been bridged with 1.5mm wire. TE cable is wired to one of the lives and one of the neutrals. Is this correct? Thank you

If the hob did indeed come with 5-core 1.5mm2 flex, intended to be used on a 3-phase supply, but the hob is now to be used on a single phase supply, I'm thinking the N is now not going to be adequately rated at full load? Unless there is built-in limiting of the max current on single phase operation (which there might be).

In the first message it was stated that the photo is of the existing hob, and they have bought a new one to replace it.

Would the OP confirm that the photo is not their handiwork.

if the new hob comes with 5 core flex, then links may not be required. Each core will have its own terminal, and the doubling up will be done at the wall outlet.
