I have got a fairly large rewire coming up and I was going to try selling a home automation system to the client. In the past I have used cbus alot, rako even more, but I havent used lutron or any of the others. I was wondering what systems people are using, what they think of them, benefits I can mention to the customer etc etc. Also, whenever I have installed cbus in the past I didnt have to programme it, because my boss always did it, so I was wondering if anyone had been on the cbus course, was it informative, does it offer value for money, and do they get much work installing this type of system?? thanks in advance

THe job is not until next year, so I can either go on the courses between now and then, or, get my old boss to set it up and pay him for his time. Ideally I would like to go on the courses, but I dont currently know when they run. I am not too sure if it would be financially viable to go on it unless it looks like I will get more business out of it, that is why I am putting the feelers out for it.
