these days a lot of makers of home automation equipment offer free courses on installing their products,have a look for one of those first as it will save you spending money that you may not have to.

What the hell are they going to teach you on a day's course?? ....Apart from of course, that 1 day courses are generally a rip off Scam!!!

I cant imagine a NIC day being worth any money at all.

Identify one of 2 manufacturers of such products, local your local rep and start talking to them. Remember that manufacturers need as many people as possible to be educated about their products.

An example, Honeywell do 1 day "introduction" courses and they charge about £35.00, I've been to an Aico session that was free!
