I've been asked to wire up an outdoor hot tub.i've sized the SWA cable, breakers etc but the supply at the house is PME and the tub is about 5M away from the house. The tub has no extraneous or exposed cconductive parts so do i need to spike the tub or will the pme supply surfice. From the advice i have read on the NIC website it seems to suggest the spike is only needed to supply a local earth for the bonding of the tub so no difference in potential between the PME earth at the house and the earth at the tub.Am i right in my assumption?
