how does it work then? if it is free for both customer and trades then they must either be running it at a loss to get the site up and running with fees to come once established or they are going to flood you with adverts, phonecalls and the like....
I am sceptical but open minded to finding out more info

There's no physical address listed, no phone contact details - and the domain is registered to a private individual named Vasil Gyulev.

The company was formed a month ago, the registered address is:

KEMP HOUSE 160 CITY ROAD
LONDON
EC1V 2NX

Make of that what you will.

Isn't that the virtual address a certain "fire" expert ex-member used?

It's a ÂŁ45 way to remain anonymous when registering a company, I'm told. Why does someone need to be untraceable in a business ? I'm sure there must be a good reason

That address is used by a company formation service. As someone has already said, there are a number of companies with that as their registered address (my registered office address was that one once) :)

You may just not want your home address on the public record. It's accessible for those who need it via Companies House, but you have to explicitly request it I believe. I don't want people I don't do business with knowing my home address, so my registered office was the same as this company (I'm guessing they used the same company formation agent), now my registered office and correspondence address is that of my accountant.

This, even at a cursory glance, is a dogs breakfast of a setup and I'd advise staying well away!

"...the domain is registered to a private individual named Vasil Gyulev."

And yet, that's not the same name as is registered as the director with Companies House.

Legally, the registered office address needs to appear in some form on the website... It doesn't! Likewise, you need to know who you're dealing with exactly; the service has a 'premium' element to it - to whom do you pay the money and for what exactly?

T&Cs are complete and utter hyperbollocks! They don't even state what entity "Flattro" actually is... Is it the limited company Flatro Ltd (the one we don't have proper disclosure for ) or Vasily the Meerkat using that trading style as a sole trader?

For clarity, this is very relevant as company registration seems to pre-date the beginning of actual trading activity by quite some time! - Which suggests a sole trader is behind this!

...Other howlers include;

"Governing Law

These T&Cs will be governed by the provisions of the United Nations Convention (Vienna Convention 1980) on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods."

:tearsofjoy: - No they won't you steaming great pillock Mr Tsilkov . As you're apparently based in England they'll be governed by English law whether you like it or not!

A convention is not necessarily a statute (i.e. a law of any kind) and in any case the UK is not even a signatory to that convention! Then there is the inconvenient fact that the CISG applies to commercial goods and products only... Not personal, family, or household goods, auctions, ships, aircraft, or intangibles and services...

What this tells you is that whoever is behind this really doesn't know the business they're in, doesn't know basic business law, and is basically just 'winging it'. - For the love of God don't give them any bank details!
