Have switched a light fitting from incandescent to LEDS. The LEDs continue to glow slightly after switching them off. The fitting is switched 240V live wires and there is a AC 5.1V induced phantom voltage. Little or no AC current. How do I get rid of the phantom voltage. A 4uF 400VAC cap across the wires does nothing.

Normally a 'snubber' of C and R in series., eg 0.1uF and 120 ohm in one component.
4uF is a bit hefty for this job, and you really need an X rated capacitor (fails o/c) if it's across the mains!

Presumably the capacitor is actually across an LED light fitting?
You might try snubbers across every light fitting.

And is the switch a standard mechanical non-smart non-dimmer type, otherwise that could be the culprit!
