How does a no neutral electronic switch gets the power to operate and to light the switch's led?

Hello, everyone,

I want to understand how the NO NEUTRAL electronic timer switches and the NO NEUTRAL PIR motion sensor switches works. I would apreciate if someone can make this clear to me.

There are two ways of doing it.....some have a battery to operate the electronics and a relay, some rely on the lamp being in place, a tiny return current can then flow to neutral through the resistance of the lamp.

I note that you are an electricians mate? Have you asked the guy that you are a mate to? If I had a "lad" that was looking to me for information i would love to spend ages explaining things, that is just part of having someone who is helping you out. Can he not help you? I hate to think that someone in a responsible position cannot take the time to pass on knowledge.

This resistance is chosen to allow a small current to flow,
this provides the power for the electronics.

Where did you get that idea...?....Lifelong Pete, done coarse...mostly Pike...and reservoir trout. For quite a few years have been concentrating on sea, mostly beach with the odd boat trip.

I do a fair bit of sea fishing out of Pwllheli. Lovely area and loads of wildlife.

The beauty of sea fishing is you get to eat a lot of your catch and it is fresher than any shop bought fish. from catch to table sometimes less than an hour. mmmmm.
