just been watching the testihg videos on the forum. still wondering how many testers would be needed to carry out a full inspection as my instructor from olci said that a multi tester would do all the tests required

All the 17th edition testers such as the Fluke 1653B would do all your tests. Some of the cheaper versions ie the fluke 1651B don't do the ramp test on RCd for sockets, or it never did, but that is not a test that is required for the BS 7671-2008. He was most likely alluding to using a voltage indicator for polarity testing and safe isolation, but even then the Fluke 1653B as a voltage range, which would do both though all the books say use a dedicated tester.

I use a Martindale veritest 2550 which does all the test other than the voltage one.

So in a way he is most likely is right.

couldnt find veritest 2550, just 2330, must be new model isit, malcolm how does the fuse finder work, isit you plug into socket and tells you what breaker the circuit is on?????
